Happy Monday! A lot of people don’t like Mondays for some reason. I don’t mind them. I spend a lot of time doing stuff I love, and that includes work and classes, so I’m always happy to get right back to it. Still, I thought it would be fun to start off the week with some fun comics.
I absolutely love comic strips. I used to read them every day before we stopped receiving the newspaper. It’s just not quite as fun (or easy) to look them up online every day. But some of the strips had constant wordplay that I could not get enough of. So every now and then I’ll look up some strips with themes of wordplay or language and share them with you.
This is from the strip The Born Loser by Art and Chip Sansom.
This is from Monty by Jim Meddick.
This is from SimpleMarkup by Crystal Watanabe, a great comic strip for editors. (FYI: CMOS is the Chicago Manual of Style, the ultimate style guide for a lot of editors.)
This is from Iva Cheung.
I hope these made you smile. Comics are a great way to start the week. Until next time!
